WOLVERHAMPTON CHAMBER CHOIR

The Choir that specialises in Sacred Choral Music

singing to the highest standards

under its conductor

GEOFFREY WEAVER

The choir of mixed voices is based in the city of
Wolverhampton. England

Links can be found below, giving details of the

choir's history and

the wide ranging selection of music sung in recent years.

and the Director of Music, Geoffrey Weaver.

The choir is indebted to the musicianship of Gary Cole in training the choir during the frequent enforced absences of Geoff Weaver. Gary, pictured front right, is also a Cambridge music graduate and organ scholar, and now runs his own company,
Regent Records , which specialises in recording choirs and classical music

Interspersed with their termly concerts, the choir has performed regularly at the Bewdley Festival in October as part of the Euchariust Service. Past works performed include the Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott, the Missa Creola by Ariel Ramirez and the Sacred Music by Duke Ellington often accompanied by a professional jazz band, and Missa Luba, a Congolese Mass setting by Guido Haazan with African Drums. A specially written work will be performed in 2012

The choir acknowledges with gratitude the loyalty of its concert supporters, the financial support from sponsers, particularly the James Beattie Trust who have supported the choir over many years
